About Us
The Lancashire Grass Track Junior Riders Club organise grasstrack
meetings for both Junior and Adult racers throughout the North West of England.
Race meetings take place through the April to October season at various
locations.
The club was established in 1972 and has developed and grown since then. From
the start we have been fortunate to have enjoyed some of the very best youth
motorcycle grasstrack racing in the country with many of our riders moving
onwards and upwards within the sports of grasstrack and speedway, some of which
become Championship winners throughout the UK
In more recent years the club has established itself as one of the very few to
offer both youth and adult riders the opportunity to take part in the same
meetings - A format which has worked very well and we hope to develop further as
we progress into the future. With Grasstracks close links to the world of
Speedway, we have been delighted to offer our members the chance to ride on the
speedway tracks of Buxton and Scunthorpe and indeed, several of our members are
now pursuing careers in this exciting sport.
The club is non-profit making and is run purely for the benefit of our young
riders. We have race classes for both grasstrack and motocross bikes. Parents
participate by assisting with track building, marshalling, catering and the scrutineering of motorcycles. Our meetings are characterised by a friendly,
relaxed atmosphere where youngsters of all ages share the common interest of
motorcycle grass track racing.
I Look Forward to seeing you at one of our Meetings soon.
